Citing Sources Critique

My favorite source citing website was EasyBib for many reasons. First, all of the tabs needed to cite a source are automatically there when you get to the website. Also, the page was very colorful & "standing out" so it was easy to focus on what I needed to do. The font was big & bold, easily read & no directions were needed because everything was right there. It was a fast easy way to cite the sources & I had no complications. SourceAid was not as bold & daring as EasyBib was. It was more dull & easily allows you to get off task. Although, the button to do a citation was right there when you opened the website. The Citation Machine was also dull, but it had a moving picture so immediately my attention was on the picture. It was a little bit harder to access then the other two, I had to experiment with it before I got to where i needed to be.

Avatars

1. What is an avatar? A graphical image that represents a person, as on the Internet.
2. How AND why might someone use an avatar in: 1) personal life 2) educational career 3) business? Personal life- to meet other people without using their actual faces. Educational- Talk to teachers and get information for projects. Business- Advertising certain things.
3. Have you used an avatar for anything prior to this class? If so, what? Nope.
4. Of the three sites, which did you like the best? Please explain why & give three reasons to support your response. I liked Voki the best for many reasons. For one, it has more choices & everything looks more realistic. Two, it’s a lot easier to navigate around. Three, it’s very noticeable & easy to look at, it doesn’t bore me.

Feed Readers

My Favorite Reader is Google reader. One reason is because it is super easy to navigate around. Also, I like the colors of it, it is not plain & boring like bloglines.
